iPad 3g: iPad 3g release date, price, ipad jailbreak and ipad review – Apple Tablet Finally Launches in US. After months of anticipation, the Apple iPad has arrived in stores across the US. Expected to sell out VERY quickly, people started lining up late last afternoon to be the first in the Apple store to pick up an iPad.
Those who are a bit wiser opted to pre-order the product. Those individuals anxiously awaited the mailman this morning to deliver their sleek and shiny new tablet.
Those that didn’t make it into the store before they sold out or didn’t pre order their products will have to wait until at around April 12th. Those that desire an iPad 3g will have to wait until “late April” for the availability of their units. The 3g connectivity will cost an additional $14.99 to $30 per month, depending on which plan is chosen. Read more

It looks like Apple has flipped the switch, as iPad apps are now appearing in searches and elsewhere on the App Store in iTunes. Here are the official apps, and quite a few other apps are up as well. There doesn’t seem to be a section yet labeled in the main interface (there’s no “iPad” selection in the menu dropdown), but the apps are in there and available for purchase, so if you want to get a head start on your app shopping, now’s the time.

The iPad will become available this Saturday, and Apple’s got answers for customers with questions.
Apple announced today that their retail stores will offer a free Personal Setup service to iPad customers. New customers who buy an iPad at a retail store will be offered time with an employee to set up email accounts, install their favorite apps from the store and more. Additionally, all US Apple Stores will host special iPad workshops starting on Saturday morning.

While many of us feel we’ll be OK on our own (especially the early adopters), there are a great number of customers who feel a bit uncertain about such a “novel” device (my parents are a prime example). It’s nice to see Apple reaching out to those new users. If you attend one of the sessions, please let us know how it goes. Read more
