Siri updated for iPod touch and gets some new features

Siri for the iPhone was quite a hit when it came out earlier this year. You could ask it questions like, “where is the best pizza nearby?” and Siri would find the answer. My favorite response was when I asked if there was a God, and Siri gave me directions to the nearest churches.

As much as people loved the app, iPod touch owners were left out in the cold. Not now. The app has been updated to run on the iPod touch with OS version 3.0 or above. And if you’ve already been using it, the app has been improved with more data, a larger vocabulary and some improvements to its reasoning algorithms. Read more

New iPod Touch With Camera and Microphone

The iPod touch the third generation is supposed to have a digital camera and a microphone. This writes the online magazine Wired, relying on a “well-informed source”. The new iPod touch will, therefore, already produces Apple’s Chinese suppliers. The sale will be in “two to three months” start. This time coincides with Apple’s practices. In the past four years, the company always be new iPods in September – time for the start of the important Christmas business.

Rumors that Apple’s iPod touch the third generation of a digital camera spendier, are not new (more here). IPhone 3GS offers a three-megapixel camera with autofocus, with the videos is also included. Whether the same camera in the next iPod touch will be found (or only the two-megapixel cam in the iPhone 3G), and the rumor mill is silent so far. Read more
