Nokia C6 Makes an Appearance, Everyone Calls it Nokia 5230 Slider
While we’re waiting for Nokia to return triumphant to the smartphone business with its new Symbian-based mobile platforms we’ll be checking out virtually every phone that Nokia decides to make public. We’ve seen the Nokia Nuron 5230 heading to T-Mobile and CeBIT 2010 has brought us an entry- to mid-level device, the Nokia C5, the first of the C-Series.

We were also expecting Nokia to launch the C6 at the same event in Germany but we were left wanting. The C5 looks terribly good for an entry-level device so the C6 can only be better. Or at least that’s what we assume. Until today we knew the C6 comes in a slider form and now we have a picture to prove it. Read more

Ovi Store movie downloads in testing by Nokia
The Ovi Store, Nokia’s app and entertainment store, could be getting full length movie downloads, letting you check out Hollywood flicks on your phone without the need for third party apps. How do we know? Nokia told us it’s testing it out right now.

We spoke to Nokia global communications manager Kasey Farrar today about the launch of Skype on the Ovi Store, and asked him upfront when we’d see proper movies on the Ovi Store. Nokia C5: slim smartphone candybar official
The Nokia C5 super slim Symbian S60 phone has just been announced by Nokia. Those spyshots we saw last month were bang on cue: it’s a teeny candybar phone with a svelte shell, but much more power than any Series 40 phones from Espoo, and a serious social networking twist.

While the design of the Nokia C5, the first phone in Nokia’s long awaited Cseries, is fairly conventional, with a T9 keypad, 2.2-inch screen and 12×46×112mm footprint, the fact it runs Symbian S60 3rd edition is an eye opener: this little mobile can cope with all the apps of much chunkier and expensive E and Nseries smartphones.
