iPhone Price is an Obstacle and will be Reduced
The Apple iPhone is a very popular smartphone, but many simply still can’t afford the iPhone due to its high price of ownership. However with the arrival of the Apple iPad and the upcoming iPhone 4G launch expected in June, Morgan Stanley analysts believe the price of the next iPhone will be lower.

According to an article over on macnn, Morgan Stanley analyst Katy Huberty suggests the lower iPhone pricing while other analysts suggest that a Verizon branded iPhone is “more likely” as a way of Apple expanding their sales. Read more
Nokia E73 to be launched by T-Mobile USA
Although Nokia will probably announce an E73 sometime in the future (as the logical successor of the E71 and E72), clear details about such a smartphone are basically nonexistent at this point.
Even so, TmoNews has it that T-Mobile USA will launch the Nokia E73 sometime in June (several months after the Nokia Nuron). But this is, of course, only a rumor for now.
TmoNews also claims that the E73 is the Nokia Mystic leaked last month and pictured below – it could be, although the Mystic is probably not an Eseries device (and the real E73 will hopefully look better). Read more
Fido launches the BlackBerry Curve 8520

Hear that noise? That’s Fido saying goodbye to 2006 and hello to… 2009? Fido has finally caved in and introduced a modern-ish BlackBerry with today’s release of the Curve 8520. Attractively priced at $50 with a 3-year voice and data contract, the 8520 is also available to pre-paid customers for the one-time cost of $400. Throw in a CityFido plan and data add-on and you really can’t argue against this device if you’re in the market for an affordable smartphone. You know, unless you care about 3G.
BlackBerry Tour 9650 Delays on Sprint and Verizon
At some point the Research In Motion BlackBerry Tour 9650 smartphone is due to hit both Verizon Wireless ad the Sprint network, however, according to an article over on mobility site, there is some delay in getting the BlackBerry Tour 9650 to both carriers.
According to a Research In Motion insider that tipped them off, several Big Red stores did actually get BlackBerry Tour 9560 units; however the units were returned for “updates” and apparently will not return to Verizon until the BlackBerry Tour 9650 gains BlackBerry OS 5.0. Read more
BlackBerry to Launch its Own Twitter App
BlackBerry is developing a Twitter app to run on its mobile platform, so that BlackBerry users a more integrated and specific tool for the management of their tweets. Currently in private beta, the app is still under lock and need further development. But the fact that type Research In Motion, BlackBerry’s parent company, an application for the popular microblogging service, his interest in social media and mobile app business creates.
While even before Apple and Android in some respects, the BlackBerry has yet to make a shot with a mobile app market. Much of the work has been Apple and Android mobile platforms, expanding their markets and opportunities for developers and publishers. Read more
